I loved this wedding - a sweet couple, a small and intimate (~30 guests) reception with many lovely details, and it took place at some special Seattle venues.
With Lele being Chinese, the color red of course was part of the color palette, especially at the reception. However, the ceremony had predominately decor in white and cream. I love the approach to play with different color schemes for ceremony and reception - it is unexpected and interesting.
The groom BJ, who works at a local software company, met Lele in 2008 on a business trip to Shanghai. They decided to get married in Seattle - making it a fun wedding destination for most of their out-of-town guests. And with the help of top-notch planner Lisa Chambers it ended up being such a memorable celebration! The day was beautifully captured by Bradley Hanson - wow, so many gorgeous images! You'll notice that I had a hard time limiting the selection for this blog post ...
Let's first take a look at the bridal party flowers which consisted of white and cream roses, hydrangea, ranunculus, tulips and with accents of silver Dusty Miller and seeded eucalyptus
BJ's boutonniere matching the style of Lele's bouquet
I love the photo series of the couple with their attendants - so fun!
The ceremony took place at beautiful Magnolia United Church for which we designed large altar and aisle displays in whites and creams
The reception at
Canlis Restaurant in Seattle - one of my favorite local venues for a smaller reception - incorporated red, champagne, with some black accents.Champagne satin linens, contemporary centerpieces in mainly reds, with red water goblets created a beautiful table top.
But it was the many fun stationary details, the food presentation, and place settings with Asian influence that completed the look and feel of the event!!
With Lele changing into a traditional Chinese silk gown it was a beautiful evening of cultural fusion in a premier local setting.
And here the complete list of fabulous vendors:
