A Peacock-Themed Wedding at the WAC in Seattle

As we are heading head over heels into the busiest time of year, it is getting a little more difficult to find the time to write blog posts, but I will try my best to keep posting twice a month throughout the summer. Gosh, we have so many exciting weddings and events scheduled in the coming months - I can't wait to share them here soon. In general, these are exciting times for Flora Nova Design: we are growing and expanding, have lots of new inventory and rental options (furniture, draping, new props) - and ... we are moving into a larger space too. But more on that later.

Today I want to share pictures of Alex and Patrick's beautiful wedding at the Washington Athletic Club last November. I've gotten to know Patrick's totally fun family quite well this past year - we also did his sister's Cultural Fusion Wedding at the Four Seasons in the spring. Just like Brenna and Kas, Alex and Patrick went with some of the same great vendors (see below), but the look and feel and the theme of the 2 weddings were quite different!
It was so fun working with Alex and Patrick and the fabulous team from Prive! The couple loves peacock feathers! So, needless to say the day's color scheme was purple, bright blue, and green, and we incorporated a lot of the feathers throughout the designs. The outcome was cheerful and whimsical, yet elegant and just beautiful!

Alex's whimsical bouquet included deep blue delphinium, purple callas, roses and orchids, green hydrangea and dendrobium, and of course lots of peacock feathers

For the ceremony we draped the back wall with silk Dupioni panels - a great option if you need to hide an unsightly wall. Up-lit, the silk brings out the most elegant shimmer.

The tall trees blooming with orchids and feathers and adorned with crystal strands created the perfect ceremony backdrop.

The gorgeous chandeliers in the WAC ballroom paired with a fabulous lighting installation by Austin Beaver set the tone of the evening! Table decor included floral vases in blue, purple and green, brightly colored votive candles, and feathers tucked into each napkin.
