Last September I was lucky enough to fulfill a longtime dream: to combine my current passion for floral and event design with my childhood life in Germany. For all of you who don't know: I grew up on a wine farm in Germany, in an area called Rheingau in the Rhine Valley - a region with an abundance of charming old villages, castles, monasteries, and beautiful rolling hills covered with vineyards.
With my good friend and colleague Ken Shepard from Azzura Photography I traveled to Rheingau where we had the privilege for a style shoot at historic Schloss Vollrads - a beautiful castle perfect for the discerning bride and groom looking for a gorgeous historic setting.
Here is the complete set of beautiful images. The gorgeous dresses were provided by Hochzeitshaus Wiesbaden and La Belle Reve/Bellevue.

The Outside Private Castle Garden
The next day we moved to another room: the world-renowned Ledertapeten Zimmer: a stunningly beautiful banquet room glad in one-of a kind gold-leaf leather wallpaper. We designed a lush table top with Englisch garden roses, antique hydrangea, and local old-fashion fruit to compliment the grandness of this gorgeous dining room:
Matching Bridal Bouquet:
We were amazed to have access to their valuable antique table ware: 200-300 year old gold rimmed glass goblets and hand painted porcelain which were used for royal banquet dinners many centuries ago. Wow!!
We also wanted to capture the beauty of the immediate surrounding - the vineyards with the castle in the distance;
Wow, what an experience! I can't help to feel deeply grateful and proud to be able to show you this beautiful location! I hope you will consider
Schloss Vollrads for your destination wedding location - it will not disappoint!
Finally a few more bouquet and detail shots:
I especially thank the team at
Schloss Vollrads for their generosity and extreme helpfulness in making this style and fashion shoot possible! Thank you!!
